🎄 How the Premier League table looks like at Christmas – Futaa

The English Premier League continued on Sunday afternoon despite the heavy Covid-19 cloud hanging over.

Only four matches were played, with six postponed because of the increasing positive cases.

The last match of the day was a thrilling encounter at the Tottenham Stadium as Liverpool played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against Antonio Conte’s side.

Before that, Chelsea, who until recently led the Premier League table stumbled again as they were forced to settle for a point in a 0-0 scoreline against Wolves.

The Blues have won only three of their last eight matches, seriously denting their hopes of the title.

Manchester City however strolled to victory at St. James’ Park with a convincing 4-0 win over Newcastle.

The win ensured they remain top of the table at Christmas on 44 points, three ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Chelsea reamain third on 38, six ahead of the ever-improving Arsenal, who saw off Leeds United 4-1 on Saturday night.

City have won the title on each of the two occasions they’ve topped the standings at Christmas; 2011/12 and 2017/18.
