🔵🔴 Reports: Kieran Trippier to hold out for late Man United move – Futaa

Reports filtering out of England say that Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier will keep his optimism to join Manchester United until the last moments of the transfer window.

The English international fullback was rumoured to be on Manchester United’s radar in the early phase of the transfer window before the speculations subdued after the club spent over £100 million to buy Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane from Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid respectively.

To afford Trippier, the Red Devils will need to raise some new funds…

“Kieran Trippier is willing to wait until the end of the transfer window to seal a move to Manchester United, reports the Telegraph,” Goal reported.

“The Red Devils are keen to sign the Atletico Madrid defender but need to offload players first to fund the deal after splashing out around £120 million ($167m) on Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.

“Even if they get funds in place United are unwilling to meet Atletico’s £30 million ($42m) valuation of the defender, though Trippier is ready to be patient to give the deal the best chance of going through,” the outlet concluded.

Meanwhile, United’s right-back options include Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Diogo Dalot and Brandon Williams.

The Red Devils will start the new season at home to Leeds United on Saturday 14 August.
