Arsenal news and transfers live: Done deal, Aubameyang to Man City links, Edu under pressure – Football.London

Welcome to football.london‘s live Arsenal news and transfer blog.

The Gunners have lost their opening two games 2-0, falling to newly-promoted Brentford on the opening weekend before being easily beaten by London rivals Chelsea by the same scoreline at the Emirates on Sunday.

Technical director Edu has already signed five players this summer, splashing £130million – more than any other Premier League club has spent – on Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ben White, Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale.

football.london understands the club also want a sixth addition before the end of the transfer window on August 31, with right-back and centre-forward seen as positions that need strengthening.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are also looking to offload a number of fringe players before deadline day. Lucas Torreira is expected to complete a loan – that includes an obligation to buy – move to Fiorentina, whilst Willian, Sead Kolasinac and Hector Bellerin are still being linked with moves away from north London.

Stay tuned throughout the day so you don’t miss a single development.
