Gunners want Ryan on permanent deal
Arsenal are interested in signing goalkeeper Mat Ryan on a permanent basis, according to Sky Sports.
Ryan spent the second half of the 2020/21 campaign on loan at the Gunners from Brighton, but played just three Premier League games.
The Australian goalkeeper is set to become a free agent with his contract at Brighton due to expire at the end of the month and is atrracting interest from numerous clubs, the report claims.
The 29-year-old is also a target for a ‘number of clubs in Spain and France’.
Arsenal ‘made contact’ over van de Beek
According to 90min, Arsenal have made contact with Manchester United over possibly signing Donny van de Beek this summer.
Van de Beek joined United last year, but has struggled to break into the first team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Holland international is now being linked with a shock move to the Gunners, who are reportedly chasing a central midfielder to replace the outbound Granit Xhaka.
Radio San Sebastian claim that the Arsenal have ‘contacted’ Alexander Isak’s representatives to find out about the striker’s contract situation at Real Sociedad.
The 21-year-old reportedly has a £60.2m release clause in his current deal, but has not signed a new deal yet.
Could Arsenal take advantage of this?
Wesley Sneijder believes Andre Onana can do better than moving to Arsenal.
I expect him to go. I think he is a great goalkeeper. European top? Yes, definitely.
I’d rather not see him at Arsenal. It’s a fantastic club, but it has gone downhill in recent years. I’d rather see him play at Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.
Xhaka fee agreed
Granit Xhaka to AS Roma is imminent.
Reports in Italy claim that a fee of around £18m plus add-ons has been agreed and that the midfielder will sign a long-term contract.
England legend Terry Butcher thinks Jo Willock was unlucky not to make the Euro 2020 squad after finishing the season in fine form for Newcastle United.
He’s pretty young, he’s done ever so well but it’s a major step up when it comes to England. It’s the level of training – there’s a big jump from a 21-year-old in the Premier League to international football.
I think Gareth would have looked at it and said he’s worth looking at but maybe for next season.
De Paul talks
Before Granit Xhaka’s impending departure has even been confirmed, the Gunners have made their move to source a replacement
Reports in Italy claim that north Londoners have opened discussions with Udinese about signing Rodrigo De Paul.
According to Italian journalist Ekrem Konur, as cited by the Express, Arsenal have initiated talks with Udinese about signing the Argentine, who was very heavily linked with a move to Leeds United last summer.
Arsenal willing to offer £17m for Lazio star
Reports coming out of Italy claim that Arsenal are interested in Lazio forward Joaquin Correa.
However, the Serie A side are demanding €35m (£30m) for the player who has also been linked with a move to Everton.
With that said, the Gunners are only willing to offer €20m (£17.1m) for Correa.
£38m scouting mission
Euro 2020 gets underway tonight as Italy face Turkey in the tournament’s opening game.
It is a clash that could be of great interest to Arsenal as Manuel Locatelli and Zeki Celik could be in action amid talk of them both being on the Gunners’ radar.
Amid talk that Celik could be available for £13m and Locatelli’s estimated transfer value set between €30m-€40m (£25m-£34m), there’s a chance that Mikel Arteta and Edu can complete a £38m scouting mission tonight.
Buendia deal confirmed
Emiliano Buendia has officially signed for Aston Villa for a club-record fee, it has been confirmed.
The 24-year-old was subject of a £30million bid from Arsenal, but Villa have beaten the Gunners to the Argentine playmaker.
football.london understands that the north London club’s main priority is Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid.
Arsenal are interested in signing Gremio ace Vanderson, according to reports in Brazil, via Sport Witness.
The Gunners are apparently keeping a close eye on the 19-year-old’s development at the Brazilian club.
Arsenal got in touch with the player’s agent over a move and expressed their interest in the teenage talent.
Hakan Calhanoglu breaks his silence
Marc Overmars has already delivered his verdict on Andre Onana’s future amid Arsenal’s interest in the goalkeeper.
We have not stopped the negotiations for nothing. I think it is likely that he will leave in the summer.
Xhaka close to Roma move
Granit Xhaka has agreed a five-year deal to join AS Roma this summer, football.london understands.
Xhaka is set to team up with former Chelsea and Spurs boss Jose Mourinho in Rome in a £17million deal.
The Gunners have been linked with Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves as a replacement for the Switzerland international.

Gunners interested in RB Leipzig star
According to The Athletic, Arsenal are interested in signing RB Leipzig star Tyler Adams.
The USA international is a versatile player who has been used in midfield or at right-back, which could come in very handy for Mikel Arteta.
However, Leipzig are thought to be keen on keeping Adams having already lost Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate, with Marcel Sabitzer also being heavily linked with an exit.

Onana ban decision amid Arsenal interest
Arsenal target Andre Onana has seen his doping ban reduced from 12 months to nine months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
football.london understands Onana is the Gunners’ first-choice goalkeeper target to replace Bernd Leno this summer.
The 25-year-old Ajax shot-stopper was banned earlier this year after having a banned substance found in his urine sample.
