Arsenal press conference live: Mikel Arteta on Martinelli, Nketiah, Partey and Patino – Football.London

Mikel Arteta is set to face the press after his side’s 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup third round at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners started the game well as Alexandre Lacazette converted an early penalty once Gabriel Martinelli had been brought down in the box.

The game then petered out into an uneventful affair for the rest of the first half as Arsenal failed to establish control over their League One opponents.

This pattern continued into the second half before substitute Bukayo Saka combined with fellow replacement Emile Smith Rowe to make it 2-0.

Saka was then involved again for the third playing in Cedric who squared for Nketiah to round off the scoring with a lovely backheeled finish.

It was a comfortable evening for Arsenal whose back up players did little to suggest they should be in the team for Sunday’s North London Derby.

You can follow all the reaction to the game from Arteta’s press conference with ‘s Gunners writers Kaya Kaynak and Chris Wheatley in our live blog below.
