Here’s all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.
Maddison deal could be completed
After announcing the signings of Nuno Tavares from Benfica, as well as Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht, Arsenal are well on their way to forming Mikel Arteta’s new-look side.
However, their summer business isn’t going to end there as plenty more incomings, as well as outgoings, are expected.
Our Arsenal correspondent Chris Wheatley covered all you need to know in his Q&A with supporters on Friday where he touched on the club’s interest in James Maddison.
“The problem with the James Maddison transfer since the links surfaced is the fee,” he said. “Arsenal like the player, Mikel Arteta likes James Maddison, but the biggest issue is the fee which is going to be in excess of £60million.
“I think Arsenal can afford him after player sales which we haven’t seen many of so far. I think Granit Xhaka is very close. I know we’ve been saying that for the past month but he is very close to joining Roma and I think once that goes through Arsenal will have some money at least to replenish that central midfield area.
“I can’t see James Maddison being a priority until those player sales go through.”

£21.6m Bellerin replacement
Hector Bellerin may well be ending his long stay at Arsenal this summer, and Mikel Arteta will be looking to secure a top-class replacement.
One of three options for the Gunners manager is Napoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who valued at £21.6m, following a Euro 2020 spike.
And in a potential boost for the north London outfit, the Italy international’s agent, Mario Giuffredi, has opened the door to a summer transfer.
“If offers arrive, we are obliged to take them into consideration, also in the interest of Napoli, because it is the president himself who has put everyone on the market,” he said.
“So, we feel we are on the market. If an appropriate offer arrives it’ll be discussed and considered. At the moment no request has arrived .”

Abraham personal terms
Arsenal are ready to meet Tammy Abraham‘s wage demands as talk of a summer swoop continues to gather pace.
That is according to the Express who claim that the Chelsea striker is on around £80,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge but wants £125,000-a-week in order to seal a move to the Emirates Stadium.
And the Gunners have indicated in talks that they are prepared to offer him that figure.
However, former Arsenal ace Perry Groves has already warned Mikel Arteta and Edu against signing Abraham this summer.
“So he needs to go and play and he could suit West Ham… depending on how much it’s going to cost,” Groves told talkSPORT. “He’s Chelsea’s top scorer, English, young, I think he’s probably worth around £30m. I think a fee like £45m would be too much.
“I think a move to West Ham would be a good fit for him. He’s not a top-four Premier League striker.”
