Arsenal completed the signings of Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale on Friday to take their summer spending to over £120million.
Having already brought in Ben White for £50m, Albert Sambi Lokonga for £15m and Nuno Tavares for £8m, to take their tally to £73m, the Gunners added Odegaard to the mix earlier on Friday.
Odegaard has joined for an initial fee of £30m, taking Arsenal onto £103m hours, before Ramsdale made the move from Sheffield United in a deal that could also reach £30m.
Following such a huge outlay, departures are expected at the Emirates Stadium in order to balance the books.
Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have both been linked with moves away from the club; however, deals for the likes of Willian, Hector Bellerin and Lucas Torreira seem more likely, having fallen out of favour under Arteta.

Barcelona right-back set to stay put
Emerson Royal has said he is very happy at Barcelona amid reports linking the right-back with a move to the Emirates.
The Athletic suggested that the 22-year-old could be involved in a swap deal which would see Arsenal wantaway right-back Hector Bellerin return to Barcelona.
However, Emerson has distanced himself from the speculation in a recent interview with Spanish media outlet Sport.
“When I was asked about my future, I told the truth,” he said.
“I respected Betis and I worked to help the club, but I couldn’t lie [about my ambitions]. I’ve always wanted to play for Barca, it was my main goal.
“Other teams showed an interest when my contract was up, but I didn’t want to hear about them.
“I was sure that I wanted to be here, and I’m very happy that I’ve achieved my goal.”
Gunners desperate to offload Willian
Arsenal are reportedly trying to offload Brazilian midfielder Willian before the transfer window door slams shut on August 31.
Speaking on the Don Robbie YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that the Gunners were ‘working hard’ to find a solution for the Brazilian – who has been looking for a way out of the club since May.
The 33-year-old has endured an unsuccessful spell at the Emirates following his free transfer move from London rivals Chelsea last summer.
Willian may be difficult to shift, however, with two years remaining on his current deal worth a reported £100,00-a-week that he signed in September 2020.
Carnevali makes Locatelli bid claim
Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has claimed that Arsenal made an offer of £35m for Manuel Locatelli before his move to Juventus.
The Gunners appeared to be embroiled in a battle for the Italy Euro 2020 star, before opted to stay in the Serie A with Juve.
Confirming Arsenal’s interest in Locatelli, Carnevali admitted that the player’s wish is what secured the move, not the fee, which was higher from the Gunners.
He told Gazzetta di Modena: “They offered us 40 million, but Locatelli’s will was to go only to Juventus and we did everything to please him. A request, that of Arsenal, which cost us something…”
Gunners face Aouar battle
Arsenal have been linked with Frenchman throughout the summer but they are facing stiff competition from their north London rivals Spurs for his signature.
The Lyon star, rated at £37.8m as reported by football.london, could be set to leave this summer and the proposed deal could go right to the wire, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
It is also reported that Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici was keen on Aouar in his previous role at Juventus before they opted to sign Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina.
With less than two weeks to go before the August 31 deadline, it is thought Aouar’s future may not be decided until the end of the transfer window.
Dusan Vlahovic blow
Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic will not be leaving the club before Deadline Day, according to the Serie A side’s owner.
The Serbian scored 21 goals in 37 league games last season to catapult himself into prominence on the continent.
Reports of an €80million bid from City circulated on Wednesday evening but Rocco Commisso has spoke out on the rumours.
Already said that it would take €100m for the striker to leave La Viola, Commisso has now doubled down on not selling Vlahovic in an interview with Tgr Rai-Toscana.
“Vlahovic has never been put up for sale by Fiorentina,” the owner said via Corriere dello Sport.
Arteta eyes more signings
Mikel Arteta has strongly hinted that there could be more signings at Arsenal before the end of the transfer window.
“There’s still 11 days to go and we’ll still have things to do,” he said in his pre-match press conference ahead of the clash with Chelsea.
“There are going to be players at the club the way that the squad is set up that it’s going to be difficult to find game time.
“So there are things to be done.”
