Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Friday, October 8.
Arsenal defender Ben White has heaped praise on Hale End graduate Charlie Patino.
When asked about the young talent, the English international told Arsenal’s Twitch channel : “There’s a lot to be fair.
“They’re in our training sessions a lot and they’re not struggling. Our training is really high quality and they have fitted right into that. There’s a lot coming through.”
“Charlie [Patino], he’s very good,” he added when asked which youngster had caught his eye the most.
Patino has received considerable plaudits in recent months, with Arsenal scout Sean O’Connor previously claiming that the 17-year-old was the biggest talent he had ever seen – high praise indeed, considering O’Connor reportedly ‘discovered’ Jack Wilshere.
The aforementioned Wilshere has returned to Arsenal training after the former England international was spotted at the club’s London Colney training base.
A large section of the Gunners faithful took to social media to urge the club to sign the 29-year-old but manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that Wilshere was merely back to train and obtain his coaching badges.
“What you should believe is that we want to help Jack prepare for his next stage, physically, mentally,” Mikel Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.
“He wants to do his coaching badges again and we are prepared to fulfil all the needs that he wants. That is basically the idea and it is no further than that.”
