Reigning WAFU champions, Black Queens, walloped Mankessim Indomitable Royals (MIR FC) 3-0 in a preparatory game staged at the Cape Coast Stadium this afternoon.

Ampem Darkoa’s Grace Asantewaa broke the deadlock against the academy boys in the 35th minute.

Evelyn Badu of Hasaacas Ladies added insults to injury as she grabbed the second of the match before ex-Maidens skipper Abdulai Mukarama added the icing on the cake to grab a resounding 3-0 victory.

The win makes it three wins in four games with Nyan-maim Academy the only blip on otherwise a healthy report card for the Queens.

What is more staggering is the number of goals accrued by the female senior national team, scoring 43 goals in four games, averaging a mind blowing 10.75 goals per game.

Ghana starts her title defense against Senegal on May 8 in the second edition of the WAFU competition.
