Black Queens midfielder Juliet Acheampong has advised her fellow footballers to join any of the security services if the opportunity avails itself.

The 2015 gold medalist at the African Games will from today work with the Ghana Prisons Service alongside her football career.

In an interview with online portal NBSportslive, Acheampong urged fellow female footballers to join any of the security services if the opportunity arrives.

“If the opportunity avails itself, my advise to other colleague footballers will be to grab it with both hands.

“Because even if you play at the highest level there is life after football.”

Ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Qualifiers, the Ghanaian international said:

“If I am called to serve my national team, I will do it with my heart.

” Because, I have taken an irreversible decision of playing football and working simultaneously. So if I am called for camping today, I am ready.

She added,

“Women’s football needs a lot of support in terms of everything including our travel arrangements and qualifiers.”
