Real Vallecano attacker Priscilla Okyere has called for Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Queens in this afternoon’s Olympics qualifier against Gabon.

After humbling Gabon 3-0 at their own backyard last week, the Black Queens attacker has called Ghanaians to throw their weight behind the team this afternoon in the return leg.

Priscilla Okyere was on the score sheet last week, and has eschewed any form of complacency despite having a healthy lead.

“For me I say, it’s not a done deal because they are a very good side as we are” she told NBSportslive.

“But looking at [our team] in terms of how we play, we have the skill to match.

“And we are good as a team, they [Gabon] play individual football, they have the qualities in them but that’s not what we [Ghana] are looking at.

“As we promised, we have 3-goals away, we are going to make sure we get more goals.

“We know after Gabon, we are meeting Kenya and it’s not going to be easy. So we want to take it match after match.

“We need the support of Ghanaians, we need the country to rally behind the Black Queens.

“We know we didn’t do well in last year’s AWCON but that’s in the past. This is the [qualifiers to the] Olympics.

“We did well when we went to to Gabon, Ghanaians were not there to witness [the match], but I edge them to come.

“We are going to do our best and win” she ended.

The female senior national team will play their return leg tie against Gabon this afternoon at the Accra Sports stadium with a healthy 3-0 lead.
