Black Queens assistant coach, Joel Nana Adarkwa, claims he was not overwhelmed the female senior national team thrashed Blessed Ladies 17-0.

The defending champions of the WAFU tournament, Ghana, made it two wins in three games with an outrageous goal tally of 29 in those three matches.

Scoring 58.62% of the 29 goals against Blessed Ladies yesterday as they gear up for their title defense.

In an interaction with NBSportslive, coach Adarkwa was not stunned by the 17-0 scoreline,

“In as much as I agree our opponent’s (Blessed Ladies) quality was low the performance of our girls (Black Queens) was also top notch.

“Because, if you watched our last game against the Academy boys, despite we lost 2-0, our performance was good, so I am not surprised we won by that [17-0] margin.”

The three-time AWCON finalists begin their title defense against Senegal on May 8.
