Black Queens and Northern Ladies goalscoring sensation, Abdulai Mukarama swooped home the coveted SWAG Female Footballer of the Year award last night.
The Black Maidens skipper had a season to remember in the year under review, rising from a local hero to global phenomenon at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup finishing as the top scorer of the tournament.
Mukarama also featured in the Normalisation Committee Women’s Special Competition for Northern Ladies racking up a decent number of goals.
Currently she is on national assignment with the Black Queens in the ongoing WAFU competition in Cote D’Ivoire having scored twice in as many games played.
She adds to her growing list of personal accolades having already secured the Adidas Bronze ball coupled with the Golden Boot at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s
