Reigning WAFU Zone B champions, Ghana, will open their title defense against Senegal on match day one at the Stade Robert Champroux on May 8. Fixtures for the second edition of the sub-regional tournament was released yesterday after the draw was made.

The three-time AWCON finalists will start their campaign against Senegal, and play next-door neighbours, Togo,  two days after the first game and round up the group stage with hosts Cote D’Ivoire on May 13.

Coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo and her 30-woman contingent left the capital for Cape Coast on Monday to begin preparations towards their title defense.
