He looked like he belonged to Manchester City but Ferran Torres has returned home to Spain to join FC Barcelona.
As Futaa reported on Monday, Torres passed his medical ahead of the official announcement today. The Catalan giants have confirmed that the former Valencia star has signed a five-year deal to continue his development under Xavi Hernández.
“FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of Ferran Torres,” the club said.
“The player has signed a contract for the next five seasons, until 30 June 2027, and his buyout clause has been set at 1 billion euros.”
The21-year-old earned the move to Barca after 11 goals in 30 games in 2020/21 and two goals in four appearances this season for Man City.
Meanwhile, Torres could make his debut in red and blue on Sunday away yo Mallorca.
