Welcome to tonight’s live blog for the Carabao Cup fourth round draw.

The competition is approaching the latter stages, and tonight we found out who faces who in the last-16.

Tonight saw six ties take place, including three games that pitted Premier League teams against one another.

On Tuesday evening, we saw a sprinkling of shocks with Everton and Watford dumped out by Championship pair Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City respectively.

Other confirmed teams in the fourth round are holders Manchester City, who have incredibly won the last four editions and whose last straight knock-out defeat in this competition came way back in October 2016.

Reaction

So, five all-Premier League ties are drawn out of the hat.

The pick of which is probably West Ham against holders Man City.

Elsewhere, Championship side Stoke will fancy their chances against Brentford whilst Preston host Liverpool.

QPR versus Sunderland also guarantees at least one non-top flight team in the quarter-finals.

Games are scheduled to take place the week commencing October 25.

Two games going to penalties

It’s finished Chelsea 1-1 Aston Villa and Wolves 2-2 Spurs.

Both are going to penalties….

And just as we type that….

Leicester hit a second against Millwall and are 2-0 up. They’re as good as in the hat.

Man United, as it stands, are heading out whilst the games at Chelsea and Wolves are heading for penalties.

Tonight’s remaining ties

They’re evenly-poised everywhere except at the Emirates, where Arsenal are 3-0 up against Wimbledon.

The four other games are either level or there’s just one goal in it…

Brighton seal safe passage

Graham Potter’s Brighton have overcome his old club Swansea tonight.

They sealed a 2-0 win against the Championship side, with Aaron Connolly grabbing both goals.

When will the last-16 games be played?

The matches are scheduled for the week commencing October 25.

As usual, we’re likely to see games split across the Tuesday (October 26) and Wednesday (October 27) of that week.

It is expected that one game will be televised live on Sky Sports on each night.
