PARIS: Nike unveils 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup uniforms for USA, France, England and more

Nike showcased 14 national team collections — including the United States, Canada, France, and England — ahead of this summer’s tournament in France. On hand for the unveiling were more than 25 Nike soccer athletes, including American stars Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe, both of whom were members of the 2015 USA squad that was crowned World Cup champion.

FIFA Forward helping develop women’s football in Uruguay

The infrastructure of clubs is still a big opportunity for growth Uruguayan women’s football. Through a subsidy programme, completely funded by FIFA Forward, the opportunity was given to three clubs (two from first division and one from second Division: Montevideo Wanderers, River Plate and Plaza Colonia) to improve their stadia infrastructure as well as seizing the right timing to use them as training facilities for the national teams that participated in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup last year.
