Chelsea fans decide Marina Granovskaia’s next transfer mission amid Manchester United’s stance – Football.London

Chelsea fans are keen to see the club pursue a deal for Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga this summer.

Camavinga, 18, has one year left on his contract and the French club are reportedly open to selling the young midfielder for a fee of around €30million (£25m), as they don’t want to lose the 18-year-old for free next summer.

Rennes number 18 has already turned down a new deal with the Ligue 1 side, and this consequently has alerted many clubs around Europe that a bargain transfer could be on the cards this summer.

Premier League rivals Manchester United have been the club most strongly linked to making a move in this transfer window for Camavinga.

Our sister title, the Manchester Evening News, report that the 18-year-old is one of the midfielders currently under consideration with the club as they weigh up a move for him this summer.

The MEN also claim that West Ham midfielder and Chelsea target Declan Rice is the first choice option for the Reds, with the Hammers quoting a fee of £100million for any club to prise him away from east London this summer.

Further reports this morning have suggested that the Blues have entered the race for the Ligue 1 midfielder.

French outlet Le Parisian, via Get French Football News (GFFN), report that Thomas Tuchel’s side have been in contact with Camavinga’s agent Jonathan Barnett ahead of a potential swoop for the youngster.

This news got many Chelsea fans excited on Reddit, who were keen for transfer guru Marina Granovskaia to make a potential bargain move the club’s next transfer mission. Here’s what was said.

@Kauten: “That’s a robbery [£25m]. Just get him please.”

@TahaPatel: “For 30mil yes stop him from going to United or other clubs as well. Can be a good rotation player. Don’t know how he plays though – is he a Kante or j5 or Kova type of player? I heard some people say he is like Pogba.”

@ItsKaiTime: “Jorginho, Kovacic and of course Kante are more than good enough for next season. Camavinga would be a great signing though.”

@No-Arrival-: “He is the kind of midfielder we should be signing instead Rice. If United sigh Camavinga for £30million and Liverpool sign Renato Sanches for £35million while we’re still pondering paying £70million for Rice we deserve what we’ll likely get. There’s so many incredibly talented young midfielders we could sign, let’s not go for one who’s incredibly limited just because he’s English and friends with some of the squad.”

rhaegaryen: “Really? That’s a snip for a player of his quality. Or am I out of the loop and he had a down-year? Cause even with a year left on his deal this seems awfully cheap.”

Silent-Web1154: “Absolute no-brainer for thirty million.”

The-Real-Legend-72: “As a DM backup would be incredible for that price and eventually would be a month term Jorgi replacement.”

The 18-year-old made a total of 39 appearances in all competitions for the French club last season, scoring one goal and assisting three.

It is also reported that Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Camavinga, meaning a transfer to west London this summer would potentially not be surprising.

And with Billy Gilmour joining Norwich City on loan earlier in this window, there could be a vacant space for a midfielder to join the squad for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
