Inter Milan midfielder Christian is close to re-joining Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam.
The player who was the talk of Euro 2020 after collapsing on the pitch wants to play football again and according to De Telegraaf, he feels that Ajax will offer him the perfect platform to continue with his football.
The Danish player still has a defibrillator installed in his heart, something the report says is currently forbidden in Italy, with the regulations of Serie A preventing Eriksen from stepping on the pitch.
The Eredivisie however allows players to continue playing with one and Eriksen wants to return to the league in order to fulfill his playing ambitions.
Should he move to Ajax, he will be joining defender Daley Blind who has had a defibrillator installed since December 2019, when he was diagnosed with inflammation in his heart.
Eriksen featured for Ajax between 2008 and 2013 before moving to Tottenham for £11m; the player scoring 32 goals and providing 65 assists in 163 games with the Dutch giants.
