Manchester United Women earned a first-ever victory over Manchester City Women on Sunday, when the Reds won 2-0 at home in the Continental Tyres League Cup.

Katie Zelem and Jess Sigsworth scored the vital goals for the Reds, in what was their maiden home clash against the local rivals.

Goals in either half from Katie Zelem and Jess Sigsworth claimed the points in the second professional Manchester Derby, as the two sides met in an electric atmosphere in the Group C encounter at Leigh Sports VVillage
