‘Crazy!’ – Chelsea fans cannot believe what Thomas Tuchel has done ahead of Juventus clash – Football.London

Chelsea’s 2020/21 European campaign enjoyed a fairytale ending.

The Blues lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy for the second time in their history, defeating Manchester City 1-0 in May’s final.

German playmaker Kai Havertz netted the only goal of the game after latching onto an inch-perfect through ball from English international Mason Mount.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have started this season in the same vein of form, winning four of their first five Premier League games which saw them go into last weekend sitting first in the league table.

However, the west London club were then defeated by Pep Guardiola‘s Man City, struggling to impose themselves on the game as Brazilian frontman Gabriel Jesus scored the only goal of the game.

Tuchel deployed a defensive setup, fielding five defenders as well as a flat midfield three consisting of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic as his side failed to register a single shot on target across 90 minutes.

Chelsea will be hoping to bounce back tonight as they take on Italian giants Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.

Both teams won their first match of this season’s competition, with the Blues defeating Zenit Saint Petersburg 1-0 whilst the Old Lady beat Swedish team Maribor 3-0.

Now, Chelsea fans took to social media to voice their opinion on the lineup for tonight’s clash, with many frustrated at Tuchel’s decision to leave out Ben Chilwell and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Hakim Ziyech returns for the Blues, alongside Havertz and defender Thiago Silva, as Tuchel looks to make it two from two in the Champions League.

Here is how a select few reacted on Twitter.
