Former Secretary General of the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) Akosa Ike is calling on the new leadership to invest more time in the rebranding of the institution.
Veteran Journalist Ike said it is unfortunate that one of the biggest auxiliaries of the Press Union of Liberia will be in such dormancy after nearly 34 years of existence.
He Wants the Kolubah Zayzay leadership to prioritize training and members welfare etc as two of the key issues that must be paramount.
The veteran sports Journalist and managing editor of West African Pilot Newspaper added the recruitment of more female sports journalists as critical to creating a gender balance in the sector.
Veteran Ike argued that the disparity between Male and female in sports reporting is very wide as such more need to be recruited to compete with their Male counterpart.
