Dusan Vlahovic package ‘could cost Arsenal £150m’ as Gunners identify key transfer target – Football.London

Arsenal could be one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the January transfer window, as Mikel Arteta seeks to boost his squad.

A premature FA Cup exit at the hands of Nottingham Forest has put the Gunners under the spotlight ahead of a crucial week with tests against Liverpool and arch-rivals Tottenham.

Future exits could play a part in Arsenal’s transfer business this month, particularly in regards to their forward line, and the big news keeps on coming.

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is the priority target for Arsenal and football.london understands the Gunners are making a continued push to sign him.

Arsenal are ready to pay a fee of around £60million for Vlahovic and the Mail has detailed how the Serbian striker could cost around £150m in total when wages are factored in.

Vlahovic would reportedly demand £160k-a-week in wages after tax – which translates to £300k-a-week as a base payment.

A fee of £15m will also have to be paid to the player’s entourage, it is claimed.

Elsewhere, The Athletic’s David Ornstein has stated that Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak is a viable alternative for Arsenal if they fail to land Vlahovic.

Arsenal are pushing hard to land Vlahovic but, if they’re not successful, then Sweden international Isak is said to be an option for the club.

Finally, Crystal Palace have opened talks with Arsenal regarding a January deal to sign Eddie Nketiah from the club, the Times states.

Nketiah is out of contract at the end of the season, where he’ll be available on a free transfer, and a sale this month would provide funds in exchange for his services.
