Erling Haaland has already made Jadon Sancho view clear as Man United rival Chelsea transfer bid – Football.London

Chelsea are still determined to bring Erling Haaland to Stamford Bridge this summer, but negotiations are proving difficult.

The Bundesliga club are adamant Haaland is not for sale this summer despite the Blues‘ heavy interest in the 21-year-old.

The Norway striker is likely to cost well over £100million if he is indeed allowed to leave Signal Iduna Park over the next month – which is a huge fee at the best of times, let alone in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.

What could make a deal even more complicated for Chelsea is other clubs showing an interest in Haaland.

Now, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United are preparing a big offer for the Dortmund superstar and could include a player in the bid.

The report claims that Anthony Martial could be included in a player-plus-cash deal for Haaland, similar to what Marina Granovskaia reportedly tried recently, with Tammy Abraham potentially going to Dortmund in exchange.

United showed an interest in Haaland prior to his move from Red Bull Salzburg to Dortmund in January 2020, but a deal never materialised.

This summer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – who managed the striker at Molde – has already spent big, with Jadon Sancho arriving from Dortmund for a reported £76m fee.

Haaland and Sancho played alongside one another for the last 18 months and the two developed quite the understanding for the German giants along the way.

And if his past comments are anything to go by, Haaland wouldn’t be averse to linking up again with Sancho in the future, amid these fresh Manchester United rumours, having hailed the winger as “a fantastic player”.

“He is a fantastic player, and the stats do not lie, what he has been doing for us this season, so he is a fantastic player and he will become even better,” Haaland said to ESPN on Sancho in April 2020.

“We are lucky to have him here.”

With less than three weeks until Chelsea’s 2021/22 Premier League season gets underway, at home to Crystal Palace, Thomas Tuchel will be hoping he has a new striker at his disposal.

With Olivier Giroud departing recently, it leaves the Blues a tad short in the centre-forward department, especially considering transfer rumours involving Abraham and Timo Werner.
