Ronaldo, who has played in five Euros was keen to win the 2020 tournament but that dream was decimated by Belgium who sent the Selecao packing.

The Juventus star did play a central role in helping Portugal reach the knockout round, but was less influential against Belgium during their Monday, June 28, meeting in Seville.

Thorgan Hazard’s wondrous strike in the first half was the only difference in the tie as the Red Devils progressed at the expense of Portugal.

Be that as it may, Ronaldo still has a chance of winning something in the competition as he is currently leading the goalscorers’ charts with five goals to his name.

However, he will be hoping rivals Romelu Lukaku and Raheem Sterling fail to match his tally, with the pair currently firmly in the tournament.

Both players have scored three goals each and come closest to rivaling Ronaldo for the Golden Boot award.

Others who were close include France’s Karim Benzema, Sweden’s Emil Forsberg, and Patrik Schick.

However, the three have since been bundled out of the Euros and have no chance of getting past Ronaldo.
