The novel coronavirus pandemic has halted everything activity on the globe and football is one of the worst hit.
Spain-based midfielder Lily Niber-Lawrence has described the whole feeling as boring, having to stay at home to observe the social distancing.
In an interview with NBSports, the UD Extremadura star player disclosed that, the whole of Almendralejo has gone on total lockdown getting to three months now.
“Actually we have gone on a total lock down for over a month, it’s not easy being indoors doing nothing, you can only train indoors, you can’t even train how you want and whole lot, it’s been difficult, we are really crying, we are bleeding,” she said.
”Everything has come to standstill, in fact you can only go out when you have to be at the supermarket or the pharmacy, apart from that you can’t do anything again because if you’re caught you have a fine to pay.
”I have stopped my classes just because of coronavirus, my teacher can’t cross bother to where I live because of the restrictions, it’s that serious here and it’s not easy at all.”
Until recently, Germany despite the scare, resumed its league to complete season.
Spanish women’s football season on the other hand has been suspended.
