FIFAWWCQ – Black Maidens Thrash LiberiaLiberia 8-0 to reach final round

Black maidens recorded a convincing 8-0 thrashing against Liberian counterparts at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The maidens have therefore progressed to the next stage of the qualifier where they meet Nigeria.

Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah scored 4 while Salamatu Abdulai, Elizabeth Oppong, Alice Sarpong and Tracy Twum all having a goal respectively.

Black maidens went to Monrovia in the first leg and won by 0-1 which put them ahead of their fellow Liberians.

The win becomes the second in a row as the maidens are poised of qualifying to the U17 World Cup.

Liberia U17 team are automatically out of the World Cup preliminary stage after suffering a heavy defeat in Ghana.

Head coach Mallam Nuhu has poised to make a history to the World Cup as it was evident on the Saturday afternoon.
