Chelsea supporters are delighted with how the club’s board have backed Thomas Tuchel throughout this summer’s transfer window.
The Blues are on the verge of completing their third signing of the transfer window, with Sky Sports reporting that the west London club have agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid to sign Saul Niguez on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer.
The 26-year-old had fallen down the pecking order under Diego Simeone and wanted the move to London.
Chelsea supporters, when taking to Twitter following the news of Saul edging closer to the Premier League, are delighted with how much Tuchel has been backed this summer.
The Blues will be desperate to mount a serious title challenge this season following their Champions League success back in May.
Tuchel has only been in the job since January, but has already cemented his stamp on the squad, who have been strongly tipped to challenge the likes of Manchester City, Man United and Liverpool for the Premier League title this term.
The likes of Lukaku and Saul will definitely help in that regard, with Tuchel adding some serious depth to his side.
Meanwhile, a deal for Jules Kounde is now looking highly unlikely, with Sevilla wanting Chelsea to pay his £68m release clause, while the Blues would rather spend much less than that on the France international.
However, there could still be some outgoings from Stamford Bridge before the 11pm deadline.
There have been numerous reports that Ross Barkley is wanted by Burnley before the window’s conclusion and with Saul now on his way, Chelsea may be more likely to offload the former Everton star.
