In the wake of the global pandemic – coronavirus – most associations especially in mainstream Europe have suspended their competitions and quite recently, the continent’s governing body put on hold the March AFCON 2021 Qualifiers whiles some associations in Africa have followed suit.
However, in West Africa, Nigeria to be specific they have opted for a different approach to that of their peers in Africa and the world at large.
The brave or fool-hardy Football-crazy nation is set to roll out their Women’s Premier League on Wednesday, March 18.
Just like their Ghanaian counterparts, the Nigerian Women’s Premier League has been divided into two zones / groups.
A total of eight games will be played across the length and breath of Nigeria with sixteen teams fighting for honors in the the soon-to-start season.
