Former Indomitable Lionesses head coach Touongo Ndoko Joseph Brian has expressed his interest to handle the female senior national team – Black Queens, SportsCorna.com can exclusively reveal.
Following the dissolution of the technical teams of the various national teams coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo was relieved of her duties, thus making the position vacant.
Touongo Ndoko Joseph Brian led the Cameroonians to a bronze medal at the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations held in Ghana subsequently qualifying them for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
The 2018 CAF Best Women’s National Team coach nominee lost out on the opportunity to lead his nation at the global showpiece when he fell out with the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) ultimately losing his role as head coach in January 2019.
Should he receive the nod to handle the Black Queens, Joseph Brian will be expected to arrest the nosedive of Ghana in the Women’s game and reposition the nation back on the continental football map as a powerhouse.
