French Division 1 Féminine champions Olympic Lyon beat PSG on penalty shootouts at the Stade du Roudourou de Guingamp on Saturday afternoon to win ‘Trophee des Championnes’.

This is to oppose the champion of the D1 Arkema of the previous season to the club winner of the Coupe de France Women of the previous season. However, the Lyonnaises made a new raid of trophies last year with the triplet championship, Coupe de France and Champions League.

The place attributed to the champion of the D1 Arkema is then attributed to the club having finished the previous season in the second place of the D1 Arkema, in this case Paris Saint-Germain got the invitation as runners -up.

It was the French left full back, Amel Majri who manages to blow up the Parisian lock of a real jewel in the 26th minute at the Stade de Roudourou. Shortly before half-time, Nadia Nadim capitalized on an error recovery from Lyon’s defense to equalize and send both tams to the locker room on a parity score (1-1).

Lyon defeated Paris Saint-Germain 4-3 in a penalty shootout Saturday to win the first-ever Trophee des Championnes.
