The 3-Month inactivity on the domestic scene after the Normalization Committee Women Special Competition (NCWSC) is set to be put on temporary halt as Police Ladies engage Ex Black Queens players in a Memorial Match at the Police Depot Park tomorrow 25th July, 2019.

National Women’s League side, Police Ladies will engage Ex Black Queens select side in a Memorial Match in honour of late Black Queens welfare officer, Madam Aku Buckman (68) at the Police Depot Park on Thursday, July 25.

The one time Sanford FA Cup winners will tango with selected former players of the senior national team. In attendance will be the current welfare officer of the Black Queens, Anita Owuredu Minta, Adjoa Bayor, and many more.

The match will be played to honour late Madam Aku Buckman (68) who was a former welfare manager for the senior national women’s team “Black Queens” Poscom Ladies and then Ghana Telecom Ladies (Ghatel Ladies) in Accra.

Late Madam Aku Buckman passed on 21 May, 2019, she serve as the Black Queens Welfare Officer from 2002-2003 and funeral arrangement will be this weekend.

Madam Aku Buckman was a staunch supporter of Accra Hearts of Oak, president of UNISON Supporters Union that rallies national support for national football teams, notably Black Stars and Black Queens
