The technical team of the National U17 women’s team has sent eight players home as the team continue with preparation ahead of upcoming World cup qualification.
NB Sports can confirm that the players sent home was due to overage and poor performance.
The number is expected to be cut down again after their friendly game on Thursday against Accra Select Side.
Safiatu Salifu and Elizabeth Ayitey are two goalkeepers included in the list of players sent home from the camp.
Three defenders, Sarah Ohene Nyamekye, Abigail Among, and Esther Anane are part of the list with Eunice Kpentey, Sophia Agyaakwa, and Mary Awuah Boateng concluding the list of players cleared from the camp.
The team will on Thursday play a friendly against Accra Select Side at the McDan La Town Park in Accra.
