– As Women’s League kicks off today 

Electroland Ghana Limited, distributors of NASCO home appliances have announced award packages for players and coaches who will put up exceptional performance in the 2019/2020 Ghana National Women’s League season. 

The company made the announcement on Friday at their offices at Ring Road Central in Accra.

Per the package, players who will be voted as NASCO Woman of the Match will receive a mobile phone and dryer while  the NASCO Player of the Month will take home a 32 inch TV, dryer and trophy.

Also up for grabs in the NASCO Coach of the Match award which will see the winner receive 40 inch TV, dryer or shaving kit, depending on the sex of the winner, and a trophy.

The Head of Marketing at Electroland Ghana Limited, Mrs Adiza Ibrahim Sadick, who made the announcement said her outfit was excited to have extended the sponsorship to the Women’s League as they had done for the men’s games over the years.

“Today, we proudly announce our new partnership with the GFA to support the Women’s Premier League in same way we have supported the men,” she said.

She continued: “For the past two years, NASCO has been supporting Ghana Football by sponsoring the Man of the Match and the Ciach of the Match of the Ghana Premier League and we think it is only fair to extend such support to our women so NASCO has taken this decision and we are excited about it.”

For her part, the Chairperson of the Women’s League Committee, Mrs Hillary Boaten thanked the management of the company and prayed that other companies would emulate the gesture.

“We are here with a sincere and a grateful heart to say a huge thank you to NASCO and to say that we are happy that this time round we are not sidelined,” Mrs Boaten said.

“The stakes will be high for the ladies with this announcement because obviously, everyone will be looking at winning a television set at the end of each month as well 3a hair dryer, beautiful trophies and a mobile phone,” she concluded.

In attendance were Madam Madam Rosalind K. Amoh, who appealed for similar rewards for the Best Player and the Top Scorer at the end of the season, Miss Cleopatra Nsiah Nketiah, a member of the committee and Tamimu Issah, Communications Director of the GFA.
