Valerenga and Cameroon international Ajara Njoya has expressed her gratitude for the love shown her despite losing out on the top gong to Asisat Oshoala.
The talented forward gain international recognition with his mouthwatering and passionate display at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, helping the Indomitable Lionesses qualify for the knockout phase for thr first time in the country’s history.
She was shortlisted for the Best Women’s player on the Continent but lost out to Nigerian and Barcelona superstar Asisat Oshoala – who won the award for the fourth time.
Unlike most runner-ups Ajara Njoya was gracious in defeat.
