Kenya national women’s football team skipper Dorcas Shikobe has signed for Tanzanian Women’s Premier League outfit Yanga Princess for undisclosed fee.
The experienced center back becomes the third Kenyan export to join the Edina Lema’s coached side after Thika Queens Wincate Kaari and Eldoret Falcons Janet Bundi.
The Serengeti Lite Women’s Premier League side did not announce Shikobe and Bundi alongside Kaari due to a delay in their International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
Kisumu All Starlets forward Bertha Omita also sealed a move to Yanga Princess rivals Simba Queens recently.
Shikobe had an impressive 2019 campaign with Harambee Starlets. The soft-spoken player guided Starlets to their maiden CECAFA title in Dar es Salaam in November. Prior to the CECAFA success, Shikobe was influential in Harambee Starlets brilliant CAF 2020 African Olympic Qualifiers.
