Ahead of commencement of the 2019/2020 Women’s Premier League competition, the Executive Council of the FA and Women Club Owners have agreed to reschedule the kick off date.
This comes after a meeting with today. The new date for the beginning of the new season is the weekend of January 17.
As part of preparations, the GFA will be donating 40 balls to all the participating clubs. 20 balls will be handed over to them pre-tournament.
The next set will be given before the start of the second round. In addition, each club will receive four set of bibs.
More so, to take away some financial burden from the teams, the GFA have absolutely absorbed officiating fees for the National Women’s League.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies the defending champion of the league will battle it out with zonal competitors, Prison Ladies, Pearl Pia Ladies, Northern Ladies, Ashtown Ladies, Fabulous Ladies and Kumasi Sports Academy.
While 3 times champion Hasaacas Ladies will compete against, Police Ladies, Lady Strikers, Sea Lions, Soccer Intellectuals, Immigration Ladies, Halifax Ladies and Samaria Ladies.
Meanwhile, Madam Hilary Boateng and Mrs Rosalind Koramah Amoh will be chairing the Women’s League Board Committee.
