Tottenham could potentially hand Alexandre Lacazette a route out of Arsenal should they pursue a move for Martin Braithwaite this summer.
The north London outfit, who kicked off their campaign with an impressive 1-0 victory against Manchester City on Sunday, have been linked with the Danish international as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.
The Tottenham striker continues to be linked with a move away from the club having expressed his desire for a new challenge earlier this year, with Manchester City emerging as the most likely destination for the England captain.
As a result, Braithwaite’s name has been mentioned in the gossip columns with his current employers Barcelona keen to sell due to their dire financial situation.
Should Spurs make a move for the 30-year-old however, this could well inadvertently give rivals Arsenal’s transfer window a nudge into gear.
That is due to Spanish giants Barcelona having also been linked with a move for Gunners forward duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, both of whom were excluded from the Arsenal squad for the club’s opening day defeat to Brentford due to illness.
As per Spanish outlet Sport, the pair are being targeted by Barcelona should they succeed in getting Braithwaite off of the wage bill.
Whilst his move to Spurs could see one of either Lacazette or Aubameyang move on from the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners could also complete a further deal as a result.

The reports suggest that Barcelona are not capable of providing a transfer fee in their pursuit but could instead table a swap deal involving either Clement Lenglet, Antoine Griezmann or Ousmane Dembele.
Whilst a deal seems some way off being remotely completed, Spurs following through with their interest in Braithwaite would be a huge help for both Edu and Mikel Arteta.
The former Middlesbrough man still has three years left to run on his current deal at the Camp Nou and netted two in the club’s opening La Liga clash against Real Sociedad.
