Striker and brace heroine against Halifax Ladies, Gifty Assifuah revealed she has being picking up lessons from former youth star Ebenezer Assifuah. Gifty Assifuah, the younger sibling of former U20 star, Ebenezer Assifuah grabbed a brace against Halifax Ladies and revealed some of her secrets to her scoring prowess to NB Sports in an interview.

“I have being learning and picking up tricks from my brother Ebenezer Assifuah at times. We are in constant touch every blessed day.” Gifty lifted the lid on how she grabbed a brace for the three-time National Women’s League champions.

“A blend of coach’s instructions and my technical acumen gave me the edge to grab a brace in this fixture, although I must say,  the opponent (Hasports Ladies) were a little bit below par.”

Continuing with the interview with NB Sports the striker said they are slowly getting to full match-fitness.

“Since we broke camp last year,  I have not being training but we resumed two weeks ago. Gradually, we are warming ourselves into full match-fitness with the aid of the technical bench.”

Gifty Assifuah will join hands with her colleagues to search for a win in their first group game against Lady Strikers over the weekend.
