Aside all the ups and down in the career of Nigerian football icon Evelyn Nwabuoku she has never for once had regrets following her dream.
The River Angel’s defender on a social media question and answer time revealed that being passionate about football has brought her where she is at the moment and nothing would have made her happier.
Nwabuoku , who looked up to Megan Rapinoe, also revealed she is into business aside football.
“Never giving up on my dreams made me the captain for super Falcons to me that’s a privilege and great honor bestowed on her,” she said.
“There are big challenges but if you listen and carry your people along they’d make it easier for you because you are actually called to serve them.
Speaking on the Super Falcons’ failure to qualify for the 2020 Olympics, Nwabuoku believes the dismissal of Swedish trainer Thomas Dennerby cost the team.
“For me I think the timing of changing a coach wasn’t good and the choice of players during selection cost us a place at Tokyo Olympics.” she added.
