Ivy Korli of Police Ladies emerged as the player of the tournament as Police Ladies finished with a bronze medal in a four team tournament held over the weekend in Togo.
Ghana National women’s League side Police Ladies over the weekend traveled to participate in an international competition in Togo alongside other invited clubs in a tournament which was under the High Patronage of Col.
Guy Kossi Akpovy and backed by the Federation of Togolese Football. The service team played two matches lost one and won one to claim bronze medal.
The tournament which houses two native teams and a Burkinabe team saw Ghana Police Ladies placing third. Defender Ivy Korli was center of attraction as she was voted the most outstanding player of the tournament.
The Ex Black Maidens lateral defender Ivy Korli puts up a splendid performance at the tournament earning her the player of the tournament accolade.
Ivy played all matches during the NC special competition for the service team that got the the semi finals losing out to Hasaacas Ladies in Takoradi in an away goal rule. It was a first time a team from the NWL has participated in such a competition.
