Jadon Sancho highlights training changes under Ten Hag – Stretty News

Manchester United are starting to see encouraging signs on the pitch, despite suffering two defeats at the start of the season and Jadon Sancho has spoken about the changes he has witnessed in training under Erik ten Hag.

“I would say (there’s) more information, a more clear plan and what to do, especially in some areas of the pitch. Definitely,” Sancho said, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.

“The style of play in training is what we’re working on. Some of that you see, some of it is the intelligence of our players, creating and knowing each other well.

“We’re training more together and as you saw from pre-season, we’re playing well together. We’re playing in the style which the manager wants. Everyone is loving it at the moment.”

The 4-0 defeat to Brentford was a humiliating blow for Manchester United and it was an opportunity for the new manager to stamp his authority on the players. Ten Hag didn’t let them off lightly. How could he? They disgraced themselves in front of the travelling support which is something they did regularly last season.

It will be a long time before we see exactly what Ten Hag wants from his United team – but it is encouraging to hear that he is laying down some rules for when the players underperform because being second best should not be tolerated at this club.

I don’t think the team has a clear idea in the past, but Ten Hag has impressed me in the early days of his reign. We all hope that continues throughout the season and beyond.
