Liverpool-linked Jadon Sancho may have handed the Reds a potential transfer boost in the battle for his signature following comments about the club’s captain.
Transfer rumours surrounding Sancho have been circulating for many months with the Borussia Dortmund man being credited as supposedly being on the wish-lists of both Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and his Manchester United counterpart Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
His current employers have so far demanded a huge fee for his services but despite continued speculation over interest from Old Trafford, a fresh interview from the 21-year-old might raise hopes at Anfield.
Sancho said: “It’s always a pleasure getting called up for the England squad and linking up with some of my other teammates.
“Honestly, [Henderson] he is one of the older lads, so I’m one of the younger ones but we get on really well.
“Me and him always have competition on and off the pitch.
“It’s constantly like who is better, who’s faster. It’s a full-time competition on and off the pitch.”
