Man Utd release 2021/22 kit with Adidas as new sponsor features – The Mirror

Manchester United have released their kit for the 2021/22 season which features new sponsor TeamViewer as they draw inspiration from the club’s philosophy.

The Premier League giants and Adidas have come together to create a design that evokes the concepts of youth, courage, and success.

The Red Devil logo, which can be seen in the centre of the club’s badge, appears on the back of the shirt.

Printed on the back neck tape is also the words “youth, courage, success” whilst the stripe design also continues to the kit’s shorts.

Inigo Turner, Design Director at Adidas, said: “At adidas we know that from the days of Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now, it’s always been important that the club’s success is built upon its philosophy of youth, courage and success.

“For that reason, when it came to designing the 2021/22 shirt, we took our inspiration from there and we hope that this will resonate with all supporters around the world.”

Adidas have also included their latest fabric innovation: HEAT.RDY – KEEP COOL, which is designed to keep players feeling cool, dry, and confident during play.

The new jersey is made with PRIMEGREEN, a series of high-performance recycled materials, as sustainability remains paramount with club’s aiming to do their bit for the environment.

United will don the kit for the first time on the pitch when they play Derby this Sunday – July 18.

The new strip can be purchased from today from HERE as well as selected adidas stores as well as the Manchester United club and online store.

Selected retailers will have in available from July 22.

Solskjaer will hope the new iconic strip can be worn as United end their trophy drought.

The Norwegian is yet to claim any silverware as he prepares to begin his third full season at the helm.

United finished second to Manchester City in the league last term and also lost the Europa League final in a penalty shootout.

Solskjaer has challenged his side so start fast when they begin their campaign against Leeds at Old Trafford on August 14.
