Manchester United are back in pre-season training having made their first signing of the summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have finally agreed a deal to bring Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford but the Red Devils manager wants more.
Having finished second in the Premier League last season, Solskjaer’s aim will be to go one better and bring the title back to the red side of Manchester for the first time since 2013.
Reports have linked the Red Devils to countless names but the club have not been as gung-ho in the transfer market in recent years, compared to before the Norwegian returned to the Theatre of Dreams and took the hot seat.
As ever, though, the rumour mill is whirring round and further additions seem inevitable.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.
United interested in Barcelona defender
Their report claims that the La Liga giants would be happy to sell the Frenchman for a small fee, having struggled with persistent knee injuries for the last three seasons, no longer being a part of Ronald Koeman’s Blaugrana plans.
The additional funds would also help Barca to extend Lionel Messi’s stay, having not yet signed a new contract at the Nou Camp.
Umtiti has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, likely due to his French connections and being left-footed.
The other English outfit who are said to be interested are Arsenal, who are looking to rebuild after missing out on European football for the first time in 25 campaigns.
With Raphael Varane, Pau Torres and Jules Kounde already linked, it would be a good bet that any centre-back arrival at United this summer will come from La Liga.

PSG ‘will test’ Red Devils with Paul Pogba offer
Reports in France suggest that Paris Saint-Germain will test United’s resolve this summer with an audacious bid for Paul Pogba.
Newspaper L’Equipe claim that Frenchman Pogba is high on the club’s wishlist after their signings of Gini Wijnaldum and Sergio Ramos, both free agents, which the 28-year-old will be next year.
Fellow French outlet RMC add that Pogba is ‘open’ to a move to Paris, close to where he was born, and ‘discussions are ongoing’ with his representatives as Mino Raiola looks to move his man on and receive a transfer fee.
The midfielder was one of the players of the tournament at Euro 2020 before crashing out with France at the round-of-16.
A number of reports have suggested that talks over a new contract at Old Trafford have begun, but the Red Devils will not want to lose him again for free, as they did in 2012.
Euro 2020 stalwart linked
United are claimed to be targeting Napoli right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo, seemingly as an alternative to Kieran Trippier.
Il Napolista report that Di Lorenzo has been viewed as someone who can compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and would cost roughly €20 million (£17.1m).
The Italian full-back has impressed for his nation at the European Championships and will face England at Wembley in Sunday’s final.
Three Lions full-back Trippier has been heavily linked with a move but it appears the Red Devils are not willing to pay his reported £40m Atletico Madrid release clause.
