Juventus are prepared to sell Ronaldo, who will be a free agent next summer, and agent Jorge Mendes is believed to have offered him to some of Europe’s top clubs despite a denial from the player.
Although the transfer fee for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is comparatively low, Mendes is looking for a club capable of taking on Ronaldo’s huge £25.5m-a-year salary.

Sportsmail understands that the latest reports of the 36-year-old’s availability in Italy on Tuesday are correct and City have indeed been offered the former Manchester United favourite in what would be a sensational deal.
However, the Premier League champions have made Kane their main target and will continue to pursue the £150m-rated Tottenham striker before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Ronaldo spent six years at United after joining the club from Sporting Lisbon in 2003, winning the Champions League and three Premier League titles at Old Trafford before moving to Real Madrid for £80m.
Madrid are said to have been offered the chance to re-sign the Portugal star as well, but manager Carlo Ancelotti ruled out a dramatic return to the Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Ancelotti, who worked with Ronaldo between 2013 and 2015, tweeted: ‘Cristiano is a Real Madrid legend and has all my love and respect. I have never considered signing him. We look forward.’

Ronaldo also issued a statement on Tuesday night, saying: ‘My story at Real Madrid has been written. It’s been recorded. In words and numbers, in trophies and titles, in records and in headlines. It’s in the museum at the Bernabeu Stadium and it’s also in the minds of every fan of the club.
‘As well as this most recent episode in Spain, there have been frequent news and stories associating me with a number of clubs in many different leagues, with nobody ever being concerned about trying to find out the actual truth.
‘I’m breaking my silence now to say that I can’t allow people to keep playing around with my name.’
Meanwhile, the shoulder injury suffered by Ilkay Gundogan in City’s defeat at Tottenham on Sunday is not as bad as first feared, and the Germany international should be available again soon.
Gundogan left the pitch with his left arm in a sling but scans have revealed that he did not suffer significant damage.
