Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.
The France international will not turn 19 until November but has already featured on 82 occasions for his current club, contributing two goals and five assists in the process.
Camavinga’s current deal with Les Rennais is due to expire next June, though, and it is thought that he will be on the move during this summer’s transfer window.
A recent report claimed that Man United had met with the youngster’s representatives to discuss a possible switch to Old Trafford ahead of next season.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 20-time English champions are now in direct contact over a deal for the Frenchman.
Romano claims that Rennes would be open to negotiate on their €30m (£25.7m) asking price, as the Ligue 1 outfit run the risk of losing him for free next summer.
