Manchester United squad for Brentford friendly revealed – Manchester Evening News

Man United players have arrived at the Hyatt Hotel ahead of their third friendly of pre-season on Wednesday night.

Manchester United have been boosted by the returns of Donny van de Beek and Diogo Dalot for Wednesday night’s friendly against Brentford.

United are back on home soil at Old Trafford and will be looking to bounce back following the disappointing 4-2 defeat at the hands of QPR on Saturday as they take on the newly promoted Bees in their third friendly of pre-season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s ranks have been bolstered by the return of two more senior stars to the matchday squad.

Van de Beek dropped out of the Netherlands squad for Euro 2020 due to a groin injury but he has now recovered to return to action for United. The 24-year-old will be hoping to impress Solskjaer after enduring a difficult first campaign in England.

Dalot was given an extended break after his 11th-hour call up to the Portugal squad for this summer’s tournament following an injury to Joao Cancelo. The full-back impressed last season while on loan at AC Milan and, with Alex Telles ruled out through injury and Luke Shaw still unavailable, has a chance to stake a claim to start the season at left-back.

Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay are all back in training as well, but they have not yet been deemed fit enough to return to the pitch.

Instead of their usual pre-match residence of the Lowry Hotel, United were pictured arriving at the Hyatt Hotel in the city centre by photographers this afternoon ahead of the 8pm kick-off.
