Manchester United have been boosted by the arrival of Jadon Sancho ahead of the opening game of the Premier League season.
United have just five days to go until they face Leeds United at Old Trafford but a new face was present in training for the first time on Monday as Sancho reported for his first session with the club.
Sancho, 21, was officially unveiled as United’s second signing of the summer two-and-a-half weeks ago but is yet to take part in any pre-season work with his new teammates — until yesterday.
The England international has signed an initial five-year deal at Old Trafford after United agreed a £72.9million transfer fee with Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho was granted time off following participation in the European Championship with England although he ended up reporting for duty a week later than international teammates Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.
United confirmed the news on their official website, with Sancho now battling to be match fit in time for this weekend’s match.
Stay tuned for the latest United news throughout the day.
