Marina Granovskaia eyes swap deals to save millions as Chelsea consider Haaland alternatives – Football.London

Here is your morning Chelsea digest on Monday, July 19

Chelsea considering Kane swap offer

Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia is reportedly considering an offer for Harry Kane that would include Blues striker Tammy Abraham moving in the opposite direction.

Spurs are naturally loathe to lose the England captain, who has made it clear that he would like to leave the club this summer in search of a club that can regularly challenge for top trophies.

Manchester City and Manchester United have been strongly linked with the 27-year-old, but Spurs’ asking price is likely to be prohibitively high.

Chelsea may have found a way around that, though, by offering Abraham in a player-plus-cash deal. That would mean Spurs would not have such a significant burden in finding a replacement for Kane, with Chelsea valuing Abraham at around £40million.

Lewandowski eyed as Haaland alternative

Chelsea are said to be looking at a £50million move to bring Robert Lewandowski to Stamford Bridge with a deal for Erling Haaland looking to be too costly this summer.

It could be a case of the Blues hoping to push down Dortmund’s asking price for the Norwegian striker, but reports state that they believe Bayern Munich would be tempted into a deal for Lewandowski, who is set to turn 33 this summer, should the price be right.

The Bundesliga side want to keep hold of the man who set the league’s all-time record for goals in a single season this year, and Thomas Tuchel has already been proven right about the prolific attacker.

Coman swap for Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea are also said to be considering a move for Kingsley Coman this summer, and could use long-term Bayern Munich target Calum Hudson-Odoi as bait..

The England international has not featured as regularly as he would have hoped since suffering a torn Achilles back in 2019. With Frank Lampard also departing Stamford Bridge and Thomas Tuchel replacing him, Hudson-Odoi has fallen down the pecking order in attack.

With Coman’s contract talks halted and his deal expiring in two years, apparently Chelsea smell a deal on the horizon that could suit everyone.
